All course offerings with the exception of Art 223A, Lettering and Typography included instruction and use of two or more software applications. Art 483I, Graphics in Motion, provided instruction and use of more than two or more intensive applications for animation, editing, compositing, sound design, building on the use of industry standard sofwtare applications, Adobe CS, Quark Xpress, and many others, along with the use of a variety of visual and audio, analog and digital capture vehicles such as digital video, super 8, 16mm,scanners, digital cameras,etc., and additional hardware such cd/dvd burners, beta, vhs, mini-dv, along with mixers,etc. It was a fully functional professional laboratory capable of capture from any source to any form and output.

NEW MEDIA, MOTION GRAPHICS LABORATORY
I was responsible for all aspects of the laboratory design, from inception to completion. These activities included capabilities planning, software and hardware selection, budgeting, vendor selection, bidding, item inspection, scheduling and supervision of extended installation, invoice rectification, trouble shooting, and establishment of laboratory operating procedures.

MOTION GRAPHICS, NEW MEDIA COURSE
Art 483I, Graphics in Motion, a trans-disciplinary course that merged graphic design, traditional and digital film, animation, and sound design .
